Mark Taylor's Skeleton King Masters of the Universe Classics Custom action figure by Hunter Knight Customs

This one is a deep cut! The Skeleton King was a design made by Mark Taylor (Creator of Skeletor) in his early college years, way before he worked for any toy company. You can see however how later on, it influenced the creation of Skeletor.

The figure was made out of a Demo Man base (obviously) sculpted shoulder garments out of a combination of Aves Apoxie and Procreate, cast Scareglow head with resculpted mouth, jaw and eyebrows. The crown was the most difficult part to get right since a basic shape has to be laid on first, and then sculpt it layer by layer.

The paint was also a process since the concept sheet only shows a few shades of color, and had to be adapted to a full on look. The entire figure was drybrushed in several shades of green, while custom color combinations had to be made for the bandages and crown.
